Fleet Air Arm MuseumThe Fleet Air Arm Museum has the largest collection of Naval aircraft anywhere in Europe. Situated alongside an operational Naval Air Station you may see fighter aircraft going through their rigorous training procedures (dependent upon operational demands).
Inside the museum you can go on-board Concorde and be transported by a simulated helicopter flight to the 'flight deck' of the aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal. A combination of two enormous projection screens coupled with a real aircraft form part of a spectacular simulated launch sequence, which makes this a truly unforgettable attraction!
There is a children's adventure playground, a licensed restaurant and gift shop which is stocked with a wide range of aviation-related gifts, clothing and confectionery. |
Directions The Museum is situated on the B3151, just off the A303/37 at RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset. Accessible from the M5 motorway, junction 25. |
