Ardkinglas EstateArdkinglas Estate is at the head of Loch Fyne in Argyll yet only one hour from Glasgow. It is located in the village of Cairndow on the A83 between Inveraray and Loch Lomond. Ardkinglas House, built in 1907, was designed by Robert Lorimer one of Scotland's finest architects. Set amidst stunning scenery Ardkinglas has been used as the setting for TV dramas and films and also a photographic location. Although not open to the public Ardkinglas House is available for meetings, weddings, receptions, and small conferences. Guided tours to interested groups can also be arranged.
Ardkinglas Woodland Garden contains one of the finest collections of Rhododendrons and Conifers in Britain including the “Mightiest Conifer” in Europe and a Grand Fir which at over 200 feet is one of the tallest trees in Britain. There is a gazebo with a unique scriptorium, somewhere to sit and enjoy the view. Car park, picnic area and toilets are available. |
Opening Times House - by arrangement, only to interested groups. Woodland Garden - daylight hours all year round.
