Denmans GardenA beautiful garden designed for year round interest - through use of form, colour and texture. Individual plantings are allowed to self-seed and ramble. Nearly 4 acres in size, owned by Michael Neve and John Brookes MBE, renowned garden designer and writer, it is a garden full of ideas to be interpreted within smaller home spaces.
Gravel is used extensively in the garden both to walk on and as a growing medium so that you walk through the plantings rather than past them. A dry gravel 'stream' meanders down to a large natural looking pond. There is a walled garden, a refurbished onservatory and a larger glass area for tender plants.
The beautiful Plant Centre stocks over 1500 varieties of perennials and shrubs. The Les Routiers award winning Garden Cafe serves a selection of light lunches, coffees, teas and a variety of delicious cakes and is fully licensed.
