Holst Birthplace Museum

Gustav Holst was born on 21st September 1874 at 4 Pittville Terrace, (now Clarence Road)

The ground floor rooms are devoted to the life and work of the composer: On display are his piano and an important portrait of him, donated by his daughter, Imogen Holst. The other period rooms show an elegant Regency sitting room; a Victorian bedroom and nursery upstairs; and a working Victorian kitchen, scullery, larder and house-keeper's room downstairs.

Opening Times

February to Mid-December, Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm.
Guided tours by arrangement.

Admission

Adults £3.50, Children (4-16) £3.00, Concessions £3.00, Children under 4 Free, Family ticket £8.00 (2 adults and up to 3 children).
