Thatched timber-framed 17th Century cottage bequeathed to the people of Stafford by Izaak Walton, the celebrated church biographer and author of the Compleat Angler. The cottage is decorated in period style and is home to a small angling museum. An entertaining events programme is available throughout the opening period and staff are on hand to give an insight into both this unique property and the great man himself. Wander around the rose and herb garden or linger over a pot of tea or refreshments from the tea-room. A gift shop is available to purchase souvenirs to remind you of your visit.
