Rode Hall & Gardens

The Rode Family owned the estate until 1669 when Roger Wilbraham of Townsend House, Nantwich, purchased the property, including a manor house, from his cousin Randle Rode. The Wilbrahams were prominent landowners in Cheshire at that time, and Rode was purchased for the younger son of Roger Wilbraham. Rode has been in the ownership of the Wilbraham family ever since and from 1987 the family have welcomed visitors and have been delighted to share with them the beauty of the house and gardens.Much work has been put into the gardens to restore them to their nineteenth century magnificence.
